Emma Watson’s Chanel Deal Said to be an Illusion
The Internet was abuzz over the last two weeks about Harry Potter star, Emma Watson’s big contract with Chanel for their Coco Mademoiselle fragrance. However, Chanel has denied that any such deal is in the works. Online reports quote the company’s rep as stating, “Whilst we have a close friendship with Emma Watson there is no contract.” The spokesperson further noted that their relationship with actress Kiera Knightley, who currently represents the brand, is “solid” and they have no immediate plans to replace her as stated in the Emma Watson stories.
The origin of the supposed deal is not clear, although quotes were attributed to a close friend of the teen actress.
